Rakku Coat Stand

With the coat stand Rakku, Japanese for rack, designer Kazushige Miyake has created a unique symbiosis between modern geometry and timeless minimalism. The helix-like construction is just as simple as the design.

Three wooden slats are almost curved into each other and are held in place by triangular metal elements. Despite the minimalist design, the functionality of this coat stand is by no means in the background. Keys or bags can be placed on a round plate. The three wooden elements provide space for jackets, scarves and hats and hangers can be attached to the metal connections as needed.
